Roof Rejuvenation in Sussex County, NJ
Put the oils back into your shingles and add up to 18 years of life — if your roof qualifies. Most roofs done in 2–3 hours, 6-year limited warranty.
What it is
A Restoration, Not a Coating.
Roof rejuvenation is an oil replenishment treatment for asphalt shingles. Every shingle starts its life saturated with petroleum-based oils — they're what keep it flexible, waterproof, and able to hold onto its protective granules. Over years of sun, heat and freezing nights, those oils evaporate.
Most products sold for aging roofs sit on top of the shingle. A coating adds a film, traps moisture underneath, voids most manufacturer warranties, and starts peeling in a few seasons.
ShingleLock™ does the opposite. It's a bio-based, soy-derived oil engineered to penetrate the asphalt matrix and replace the oils the shingle has lost. Nothing is added to the surface, and nothing changes how the roof sheds water.
The result, per independent PRI laboratory testing, is a shingle that regains flexibility, granule adhesion and UV resistance — buying a qualifying roof years of additional service for a fraction of what a tear-off costs.
Northwest New Jersey climate
Four Things Wearing Down Every Sussex County Roof
Sussex County sits in New Jersey's coldest corner. Freeze-thaw cycles run from November through March, and every cycle works moisture into shingles that have lost their flexibility.
Summer humidity and UV strip the oils out of asphalt shingles faster than most homeowners realize — and the damage is invisible until granules start showing up in the gutters.
Northwest Jersey's heavy tree canopy means shade, moss and algae streaking on north-facing slopes, holding moisture against shingles that are already drying out.
Nor'easters and winter wind events put stress on brittle shingles that flexible, oil-rich shingles would shrug off.
Freeze-Thaw Cycles
Sussex County sits in New Jersey's coldest corner. From November to March, water works into brittle shingles, freezes, expands, and widens every crack it finds.
Summer UV & Humidity
Long, humid Northwest Jersey summers bake the oils out of south-facing slopes. The damage is invisible until granules start showing up in your gutters.
Heavy Tree Canopy
Shade holds moisture against north-facing slopes, feeding moss and the black algae streaking that's everywhere in this county.

Eligibility
Does Your Roof Qualify?
Age
Typically 5–20 years old. Younger roofs haven't lost enough oil to benefit; much older roofs may be past the point of help.
Condition
Granules still largely in place. Shingles intact, not crumbling, cracked through, or broadly missing.
Shingle type
Asphalt shingles — 3-tab and architectural both treat well. Not applicable to metal, tile, slate or flat/membrane roofs.
Structure
No active structural issues, rot, or significant deck damage. These need addressing before any treatment.
Final eligibility is determined at inspection, free of charge. If your roof is past the point where treatment helps, we will tell you so — and we won't charge you for finding out.

We Evaluate The Roof
Jonathan inspects granule retention, shingle flexibility, seam condition and overall age — on the roof, not from the driveway.
Every slope is walked where it's safe to do so. Shingles are flex-tested, granule coverage is checked, and seams, flashing and vents are photographed.
You Get An Honest Report
Photos, findings, and a straight answer on whether rejuvenation will actually help. If it won't, we say so.
You see exactly what Jonathan saw. If the roof qualifies, you get a quote on the spot. If it doesn't, you get told why — and what to plan for instead.
Treatment Day
ShingleLock™ is applied at a precise water-to-concentrate ratio. Most Sussex County roofs are finished in 2–3 hours. No tear-off, no dumpster, no crew tramping through your yard for three days.
Landscaping is wetted down first as a precaution. The treatment is applied evenly across every treatable slope, then left to absorb as the water evaporates.
Warranty In Hand
Completion report, before-and-after photos, and your signed six-year limited warranty certificate, same day.
Your file is complete before Jonathan leaves the driveway — a dated record of maintenance you can hand to an insurer or a buyer.

FAQ
Roof Rejuvenation Questions, Answered
It's an oil replenishment treatment, not a replacement and not a coating. Asphalt shingles lose the petroleum oils that keep them flexible and waterproof. ShingleLock™ penetrates the shingle and restores those oils, bringing back flexibility, granule adhesion and UV resistance.
